The Preferred Sites Page

The Preferred Sites Page allows you to view or define multi-site Trunking Site preferences for individual Trunking Personalities. When a radio roams into an overlapped coverage area of multiple Sites within a Trunking System or Wide Area Communications Network (WACN), it will search for a Site that is operationally preferred by evaluating all other available sites on a priority basis, according to their corresponding Preferred Status selection. This capability provides more intelligent management and conservation of repeater resources in coverage overlap areas. If a site is not listed here, then the radio automatically assigns it no preference.
